Chapter 7 — The Seven Gates of the Heart
Lord, guard the entrances of my heart.
My eyes — may they see what builds up and turn away from what destroys.
My mouth — may it speak life and stay silent about what tears down.
My time — may it be managed with intention, not handed over to the urgent.
My money — may it be an instrument, not a master.
My pride — may it be crucified before it blinds me.
My exhaustion — may it be acknowledged as a sign of limits, not ignored as weakness.
My comparison — may I run my own race with my eyes on You, not on others.
Guard what I cannot guard alone.
